I painted this raccoon skull as a birthday present for my boyfriend and I finally finished it… a week late…. :/ Regardless, I decided to tap into my Mexican heritage and my birthday for this piece. (I was born on all Saints Day) I wanted something more subdued than the typical bright colors and plethora of designs on a typical sugar skull.
I used acrylic paint in Burnt Umber for this piece. And yes, this is a REAL raccoon skull that I purchased from Necromance in LA. I’ve decided to call him “Bandito.” I liked him because he has the one broken canine. Gave him some character.
Lastly, I’m thinking about making a skull painting tips/ tutorial about this little guy. Would anyone be interested?
Oh shit…. I guess I’m going to be getting a new Wacom tablet soon. Digital art here I come!
Anyone have any tips or advice for a noob such as myself? :)
I guess I was trying to channel my inner #wierd last night. I need some kind of idea for her but I’m not sure what I want to make her. #alien ? #devil #monster #creature ? Some kind of #cute #animal ? Idk. Any ideas? #wip #drawing #sketch #graphite #art #creepy #creepycute #blackeyes
